Das Efx - What More Can I Say Samples
This right here has gotta be my favorite Das Efx track, and it's mostly due to the production. The way that they incorporate all of the samples is pretty insane. See for yourself:
Das Efx - What More Can I Say
Take 6 - Spread Love Remix (Edit)
Albert King - Cold Feet
King Curtis - Sweet Inspiration
Big Daddy Kane & Biz Markie - Just Rhymin' With Biz
Audio Two - Top Billin'
ATCQ - Push It Along

Nice post!
ReplyDeleteWhat album/time period is this das efx song from? It's obviously not from Sewaside because the title is spelled correctly.
And what's the deal with that Take 6 remix? More info please....
We broke this record on the world in 1999 ... HipHopPhilosophy.com Radio is your HipHop daddy...
ReplyDeletehotbox, What More Can I Say is an unreleased Das Efx track from 1994.
ReplyDeleteIf this Das EFX track is from '94, how can these Take 6 remixes be from 2004? The das efx tracks used samples from the original 1988 track?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your work ;)
The Take 6 remix came from the "Bozo Meko" EP. Here is the discogs link:

As Vincent indicated, it's from the late 80s. I can't say much else with any certainty because there is hardly any info about this release on the internet, but the 45 King was said to have produced the "Take 6" remix. The drums were sampled from a Tina & Ike Turner track titled "Cussin', Cryin & Carryin' On".
I have that Das Efx joint on a BOOTLEG 12" from 1994 that I bought at Ultra Sounz in San Bruno in 1994. Always wondered abouit info on this joint. Who Produced it?
