DJ Spinbad is one of the best technical DJ's in the game. He mixes on WWPR in New York City and was formerly heard on WHTZ in twenty-minute sets at 7:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. on weekdays, Fridays at 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 7:00 p.m. He is also heard on WWPR at 10:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. on Fridays. Recent recession cutbacks, according to his MySpace page, forced WTHZ to cut him from their lineup. He was also heard on WHTZ on Saturdays from 11:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m. live from Webster Hall in New York City. Spinbad was also a frequent guest on the syndicated radio show Live In Tha Den With Big Tigger.
One of my favorite mixtapes of all-time is "Rock The Casbah" which is said to have been one of the most bootlegged mix CD's of all-time per Wikipedia. It's also the ultimate 80's megamix where Spinbad mixes and cuts up your favorite 80's new wave/pop tracks with a hip-hop twist.
"Rock The Casbah" was originally released on CD but due to the 80 minute limitation it had to be shortened.
