Lady of Rage - Lyrical Gangbang & Afro Puffs (Live @ Paid Dues 2010)
Last weekend, Kurupt & Daz from Tha Dogg Pound brought Lady Of Rage during their set at the 5th Annual Paid Dues 2010 Festival. She performed her verse from "Lyrical Gangbang" off Dr. Dre's classic album "The Chronic". She then followed with her classic '94 hit single "Afro Puffs".
Here's the footage that I recorded:
-- Thomas V
Bonus: Dr. Dre - "Puffin' On Blunts And Drankin" Feat. Lady Of Rage & Tha Dogg Pound
Props for the footage, Thomas V! What city was this in? And that Lady of Rage verse on "Puffin' On Blunts And Drankin" is incredibly kick ass... I was never a HUGE fan of the Row but Lady of Rage takes the cake. I always like the sound of a good female MC (or ANY MC for that matter) who keeps it real and doesn't succumb to the bullshit Lil' Kim/Foxy Brown antics.
It was in San Bernadino,CA. It's near Los Angeles. That's also where they have Rock The Bells.
Kurupt has my favorite verse on "Puffin' On Blunts And Drankin Tanqueray"! Him and Lady Of Rage were the illest lyricist on death row! DJ Premier even got both of them for the remix of You Know My Steez.
Haha yeah, I always thought Kurupt never got the respect he deserved because of Snoop Dogg's popularity... Or maybe he did, and I just never saw it lol. I see you have a youtube channel too, with a bunch of other videos man! Kick ass. I'm gonna have to check them out.
Sounds Great! I've started to record live shows since I got my pocket camcorder. Even though I'm compressing the videos for youtube, the sound and video quality is top notch! My favorite video is King Sun freestyling with rhymefest & percee p on stage. check it out.. i even made a post on it, http://philaflava.blogspot.com/2009/10/king-sun-rhymefest-rhyme-inspector.html
Their is an Outtake from her "Necessary Roughness" album I have been looking for called "The Set Up" it features Nikki D. & Heather B. and was produced by DJ Premiere andone have this joint?

good thing Daz threw her his Mic on the second vid. She wasn't registering at all before that.
