Organized Konfusion & O.C. Promos & Demos

(Organized in Japan circa 1995, photo courtesy of D.I.T.C. affiliate Marquee.)

Roy Johnson has been trying to track down a complete copy of this ’91 / ’92 era O.C. demo called I Kick a Rhyme for the Record for years now. After aleph had posted these:

Organized Konfusion – Why [Buckwild Original Mix] (1994?)

“Premiered on KCR sometime before Stress dropped.”

O.C. & MC SerchWKCR & Awesome 2 Promos (1994)

Page the Hand Grenade ft. O.C. – Untitled Demo (1994?)

Roy thought to ask aleph directly, who responded that he thought he had it “on a tape of a Riz / Eclipse show” and a couple days later a full version of the track was here:

O.C. – I Kick a Rhyme for the Record (1992?)

Props to aleph, Marquee and Roy Johnson.

  2. That O.C. track was played on the infamous DJ Eclipse/DJ Riz takeover CM Famalam night. That whole show needs to be digitized and posted.

  7. Xavier, why don't you post all your OC demos on your blog? We'd all appreciate it, dumb ass bitch.

  8. Xavier: If you actually read the post, Sleep actually stated that the first three songs posted were from a previous piece--and they are just there as a little refresher for your memory.
O.C. – "I Kick a Rhyme for the Record (1992?)" is the new joint that was posted... They couldn't find it for a while, and now they finally have after a lot of time spent digging around the crates. They put in a lot of work bringing us this track, and to be honest, as a hip-hop head YOU should be glad they found it--the song kicks major ass.
Considering Roy Johnson had a hand in the last OC post, it only makes sense for Sleep to reference the last piece while bringing us the NEW joint.
So, I'm not exactly sure why you're complaining, but it's all good. There's no need for name calling or juvenile "internet beefing." To each his own, I guess.
Good stuff as usual, Sleep. And also props to aleph, Marquee and Roy Johnson.

  9. Yeah, here's hoping we can find a clean version of Visual Picture in the near future. For those asking about the CM Fam Halftime takeover show, I do have it, but possibly not all of it. I'm waiting to see if someone else I know could come up with the whole deal. Of course, other heads who have the whole show are invited to post first. Thanks for the props, T.R.O.Y.
