Masta Killa (off No Said Date) (Chinese Sample)

Song: Masta Killa - Masta Killa (2004) Produced by Baby Dooks

Original Sample: 王昭君(粤语) 刘君儿 广东民歌
Wang Zhao Jun (Cantonese Version)

This is probably my favorite song from No Said Date. I had been looking for this sample ever since I heard the album. I even asked people on forums but no one knew. Glad I found it!

  2. Good shit, Thomas. Props.
Not one of my favorite tracks off that album, just to be honest. But we could have that discussion in the forum.

@anonymous#2- In what sense do you mean this:
"i think they didnt really flip this shit on the masta track."

Do you mean that you don't think this is the song they sampled?
Or do you mean they didn't do a good job with the sample.

Right now I'm going through both songs and trying to find the exact parts used. If it indeed is the song, they sped it up some.

Ok, I'm stumped. If this is the song sampled, then they took parts from near the intro and near the 1 minute mark, chopped them up, sped 'em up, and killed that beat.

I could be wrong cause my woman is in the same room blasting friggin VH1 One Hit Wonders while I'm trying to check this.

  4. Good Find! Best track off No Said Date, and in the top 10 Wu-Tang tracks of the 2000's.

  5. I never liked Baby Dooks raps, so he should focus on production only. I don't know yet if his production i like, but as long as he is kept out of mic, i support.
    Great find Thomas.
