brake fast records compilation (baltimore 1998)
I came across this compilation recently and was impressed with the consistency. Baltimore hip hop has been a source of fascination to me for years. Although house music predominates, the hip hop scene there is deep and varied. Most Baltimore artists are way below the radar but the output is on par with other east coast cities. This is filled with classic selections.
Here's a link and the tracklist--

this is fuckin' amazing.
ReplyDeletethanks a lot
ReplyDeleteThanks. Baltimore's 90s scene is entirely unfamiliar to me (and I imagine to most heads). I will definitely give this a listen; it's pretty hard to resist tracks by an artist named Inpyscholpedia Brown...
ReplyDeleteNever thought I'd see this bootlegged.
ReplyDeleteI'm Teddy Faley, formerly Ed Bones.
This record was my life for a good part of a year.
Me and Brown put everything in this record.
Also, this is in no way from 98.
ReplyDeleteWe pressed it up two years ago.
Teddy.
ReplyDeletedo you mind if we have a link up here or would you prefer we remove it ?
We dont want to step on any toes, just looking to expose some quality underground...
nah i don't mind.
ReplyDeletei do have a request though.
i got an ep im giving out, its current, which may disqualify it for this blog, but if not, if you could throw it up here if ya dig it, id appreciate the exposure.
